James L. Oliver, 77, of Redington Beach, Florida passed away September 26, 2020 at Bay Pines VA Hospital. Jim was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother.
Jim was survived by his wife of 59 years, Ann, 3 children, Deborah (David) Duggan of Franklin, Tennessee, Michael (Robin) Oliver of Louisville, Kentucky and Dawn (Real) Lafond of Woodside, California.
Jim also had 3 grandchildren, Matthew, Alyssa and Jenna and 2 great grandchildren, Audrey and Jack. Jim was survived by his siblings, Robert, Deborah and Edward. Jim was pre-deceased by his parents, Michael and Beatrice, and brothers, Michael, Gerald and William.
His wife, Ann, was Jim’s first love and only love. Jim loved spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who all lovingly referred to him as “Jimpa”. When he wasn’t with them, he enjoyed spending time with other family members and friends, and, for many years had fun boating and fishing .
Jim went to Schoolcraft College and then on to attend Lawrence Institute of
Technology. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Jim worked at Ford Motor Company and retired from Precise Technology and Tooling. In addition, he belonged to the Elks Club and the American Legion.
