Obituary of Patricia Ann Galdony

Patricia Ann Galdony, 82, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2020 in Seminole, Florida, with her loving husband of 60 years, Frank Joseph Galdony, by her side.

Born September 17, 1938, in Beaver County, PA, she was the daughter of Joseph Blinkey and Frances Blinkey.

Patricia was a graduate of Monaca High School, Monaca, PA. She then trained to become a nurse like her mother before her at Sewickley School of Nursing where she became an RN.  Over her long and celebrated career she has held several distinguished positions, including Director of Nursing and in charge of Surgical ICU at St. Petersburg General ICU. She later worked at Olsten Kimberly Home Health Care as a Hospital Coordinator. When Olsten Kimberly acquired Gulf Coast Health Care she was hired as their very first employee.

In retirement Pat and Frank spent their time as volunteers for Suncoast Hospice, and as Eucharistic Ministers at Blessed Sacrament Church in Seminole where they attended faithfully for 50 years. She loved to travel and went to Europe many times.

There are not enough positive adjectives to accurately describe ‘Patty’. Those who knew her saw a woman who exhibited strength of character—honesty and integrity, loving, giving, selfless and caring combined with a bit of sneakiness and fun. She will truly be missed by many whose life that she touched, even if briefly.

Pat is survived by her husband, Frank Galdony, Jr., son, Craig Galdony and daughter-in-law, Theresa Galdony, and brother, Joe Blinkey, Jr.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please make donations to Suncoast Hospice (Empath) in her name.

Funeral Service for Patricia Galdony will take place Saturday June 13, 2020 at Blessed Sacrament 11565 66th Ave N, Seminole, FL 33772. A visitation will begin at 11:30am with a Funeral Mass to follow at 12:00pm.
