Betsy and I started Kindergarten together at Oakhurst Elementary, age four! Mrs. Burnson taught there as well. We were friends all thru High School, and we pretty much grew up together! In High School EVERYONE who was ANYONE had partied at the Burnson's house with Betsy & family. Their house was like a Holiday Inn, with a balcony outside the bedrooms overlooking the pool! Winchester Jams Sessions with Barry & Co, Brian's Midnight Piano Concertos, Brenda & Mrs. Burnson doing Baton Twirling practice in the driveway! SO MANY memories!
I found this note from Betsy in my 1976 Warhawk Yearbook. She mentions Mrs. Burnson liking me more than she did! HAHA! ... an ongoing joke we had! I LOVED Mrs. Burnson ... such a classy lady!
Even though we drifted apart after High School (as is so often the case) I did see Betsy a few times in the last several years. She was truly one of those timeless friends who, no matter how much time passes ... will ALWAYS be your friend!
I love you Betsy and I miss you!
