Obituary of Marian J Sleppy

SLEPPY, Marian J. 83, of Seminole, peacefully passed away on April 6, 2021 surrounded by her family. Marian was born in Rosedale, PA on November 6, 1937.  After graduating from Westminster College in New Wilmington, PA where she majored in Music Education with an emphasis on voice, Marian and her husband, Bob, came to Florida in 1960 following her parents and sisters.  She taught private piano lessons for over 35 yearsand sparked a love for music in countless students.  She was a faithful servant at Pasadena Community Church for almost 60 years.  She shared her passion of music through the singing of God's word as the PCC preschool music teacher and as a soloist in the church choir and a member of the Camerata group. Mom loved singing in the Blue Angels and her church family.  She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and supporting her grandchildren by attending their events (baseball, music concerts, ice skating, horses, baseball, gymnastics, swimming, and various competitions).   She is survived by her children Robert (Cheryl) Sleppy Jr. and Katherine (Phil) Carley; grandchildren Bobby (Juslin), Steven, & Valerie Lewis, John(Erin), Christine, & Joey Sleppy; great grandchildren Ava, Easton, Hannah, Blake, and Vivian; sister, Dorothy Bernardoand many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. 

 

A visitation will be held at E. James Reese Funeral Home in Seminole on Sunday, April 11 from 3 – 5 PM.  The funeral service will be at Pasadena Community Church on Monday, April 12 @ 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to Pasadena Community Church Music Ministry or Empath Hospice. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
