Obituary of Ivy Tunstall

It is with great sadness that we mourn the loss of our dear mother, Ivy Tunstall on March 8^th 2021 at 93 years of age, passed peacefully at home. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. Born in Darley Dale, Derbyshire, England in 1927, she then graduated nursing school as a Registered Nurse and was the highest ranked sister on the floor where she was loved and respected. She also was an award winning tennis player in England. She then met and married the love of her life Sydney where they started their life in England and eventually finishing their lives in Seminole, Florida where they spent 64 inseparable, blissful married years together until his death in 2018. She loved life, loved to sing and loved her friends. She had a remarkable green thumb and loved gardening. She had a memory like no other and was the smartest women we knew, but her most treasured gifts besides her husband was her 3 children.

They started and ran a successful motorcycle business (Syd’s Cycles) since 1970 that is still thriving today. Ivy loved nothing better that being by her husband’s side 24 hour a day. They could finish each other’s sentences, knew what each wanted and needed with just a glance….her spirit and mind was not ready to go but is now reunited with her precious Sydney.  She is survived by her children, Malcolme and his wife Stacey, Julie and Joan and her husband Matthew, and her grandchildren Brittany and John and many loved family members in England.

Services will be at the Grace Lutheran Church, 4301 16th St N, St. Petersburg, FL 33703 on April 24^th at 1pm.
