Obituary of Wilma Suzanne Terebeiza

Terebeiza, Wilma Suzanne (nee Fraser) - 79, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2021. Known fondly as Willie or Suzanne, she was the eldest daughter of the late Stanley and Gertrude Fraser. She was born on May 24, 1941, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Suzanne is predeceased by her loving husband John Terebeiza. She is survived by her sister Marlene (Edwin) Jones, of Nova Scotia, nephew Richard (Lori) Fraser, nieces Jennifer (Gabriele) Mollica and Gwendolyn Jones, and great-nieces and nephews, Alicia, Nick, Isaiah, Ethan, Odin, and Mila.

After competing in the Miss Halifax Pageant at age 18 she headed to the USA to start her new adventure. Suzanne loved the big city life, initially living in Boston and then moving to New York City where she met John and they built their life together. She would reminisce about how she was energized by NYC and thrived on the hustle and bustle. Suzanne and John retired, moved to Largo Florida, and enjoyed the sunshine for many years. Throughout her life she had developed many meaningful friendships, she always thought of her friends as family.

Trips to Vegas, signature sunglasses, lipsticks, and most importantly her fur babies are just some of the highlights from her full life. We love you and will celebrate you often!

Thank you to the staff at Oak Manor Nursing Home for your wonderful care.

Arrangements with E. James Reese Funeral Home & Crematory and final resting place is with John at Bay Pines National Cemetery.  Due to the pandemic, private reflection encouraged, Suzanne’s family will be privately celebrating her life in her hometown of Halifax, Nova Scotia.
