Obituary of Richard Scott Boucher
Richard Scott Boucher passed away peacefully at Suncoast Hospice Care Center, Palm Harbor FL on July 14, 2022.
Please remember Rick as a true-blue, creative, and passionate soul. Most of us knew him as an amazingly positive musician and drummer who could have easily stepped right in with the likes of a Springsteen or anyone, if called on - he really was THAT good and a real pro’s pro. He held a child-like giddiness for the things he loved, from a tasty guitar solo to a lazy Labrador’s antics and many things in between. We so loved his infectious joy for life’s little treasures. It was one of his best qualities.
Most of all, he held his family above everything- from his beautiful children Charlie and Molly (who share so much of those qualities above) to those of us in his immediate circle. Parents will always be heroes to their children, but Richard and Judith Boucher were especially heroic to Rick. We also know he could never quite express the immense amount of love, admiration, and gratitude to his “real rock star” big sister, Denise Morle. She handled so much of what none of us could. He shared a special creative bond with his younger brother, Ron Boucher, with whom he spent countless hours listening, collaborating, and sharing an almost clairvoyant connection over music.
A memorial visitation to remember Rick’s beautiful life will be held on Monday, July 18, 2022, at Reese Funeral Home (6767 Seminole Boulevard, Seminole, FL 33772) from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 19 at St. Matthew Catholic Church (9111 90th Ave. Largo, FL 33777) at 3:00 p.m.
