Obituary of Mary Jane Geracci

Geracci, Mary Jane – 80, born January 17, 1942, in Cleveland, Ohio – passed away December 28, 2022, in Seminole, Florida, under the care of Suncoast Hospice and The Dolphin House. Mary Jane grew up in Vero Beach, Florida, and relocated back to Ohio, finally making her home in Seminole for the past 44 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, August P. Geracci, Jr. Mary Jane is survived by her daughter, Deborah Kelly (Greg) of Pinehurst, NC, and grandchildren, Connor Kelly and Chris Kelly of Charlotte, NC; and Collin Kelly of Pinehurst, NC; her daughter in-law, Lisa Geracci of Seminole, Florida; her sister, Carolyn Ives of Seminole, Florida; nephew, Jeff Hynes (Kristina) and Julie Richardson (Jim) and her great nieces and nephews. Mary was always ready to offer a helping hand, having volunteered for Hospice and the Seminole Library. She and her husband, Gus, were active fosters helping multiple animal rescue groups in the area, and they foster failed many times due to their mutual love of animals. In lieu of flowers, Mary Jane's family requests donations in her honor to the Suncoast Hospice or PAWS Rescue. A memorial service will be held at Bay Pines National Cemetery on Thursday, January 5, at 3:00 p.m.
