Obituary of Peggy A Stevens

Peggy A Stevens , 79 , of Largo , Florida passed away January 20, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born on April 27, 1943 in Crab Orchard, Kentucky to Walter and Eva Arney. She graduated from Crab Orchard High School. She met Joe Stevens in Cincinnati, Ohio and they got married on August 18th, 1962. Eventually they moved together to Dayton, Ohio to start their family, they had two daughters Jodi and Jennifer. In 1972, they all moved to Tampa, Florida where they opened up a wholesale lighting business, they sold that business in 1998. Peggy then worked at the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office in the civil department and since retired.

 

Peggy was a devoted christian at 14th Avenue Church of Christ. She had many hobbies which included reading, baking, sewing, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

 

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Joe Stevens, her parents Walter and Eva Arney, her siblings Mae (Vernon) Taylor, Wanda (Jesse) Baker, Bonnie (Pretz) Brown, Jim Arney, Rosemary (Jim) Peters, Norma Price, Bill Arney, and David Arney.

 

Peggy is survived by her daughters Jodi (Ricky) Ward, and Jennifer (Matt) Brown, grandchildren Sadie (Jared) Davis, Lexy Ward, Nash Ward, Katheryn (Joey) Bundrick, Jacob Brown, and great grandchildren Arrow Ward, Jett Davis, Enzy Davis, Maverick Davis, and Amelia Davis.

 

The family would like to give a special thank you to Aunt Cindy Arney. Cindy was a wonderful caretaker and friend to Peggy.

 

Funeral arrangements for Peggy Stevens will be Friday, February 3rd 2023 at 2:30pm at 14th Avenue Church of Christ 3737 14th Ave North St. Petersburg, Fl 33713. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Peggy's memory to the 14Th Avenue Church of Christ.
