Obituary of Joseph Donald Phillips
Joseph Donald “Don” Phillips, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on February 7, 2023 in
Seminole, Florida. His lived 94 years of a well spent life! Born on November 1, 1928 in Philadelphia, PA. He grew up in the New
England area and spent time out in the western states as a young man. He served in the Navy during the post-World War II years with an
Honorable Discharge. He and his family moved to Florida in 1955. During his working life some of his many jobs he held were working as a writer, surveyor, scuba diver, fireman and public servant for Pinellas County. He was the owner/operator of Aquamarine Repair Service
for many years and the author of the collection of short stories, “A Boys Life: Tales By The Fire”. He gave all who knew him the kindest,
honest and gentlemanly treatment as an honorable man. Clever, intelligent, and creative, he could come up with unique ways of fixing
any problem, all the while making you feel that problem was the most important. He was pre-deceased by his wife Nancy Ann Raub
Phillips on June 8, 2011. He leaves behind a daughter, Keren Bunting Tarr and a son, Paul Donald Phillips; three grandchildren, Rebecca
Nichole Schofield, Jessika Danielle Parish, and Robert William Launder; and five great grandchildren - Daniel Kieron Gresty, Emma Nichole
Parish, Catherine Anne Parish, Joseph David Parish, and Grace Elizabeth Parish.
He will be missed so very much by all who loved him, and were loved by him.
