Obituary of Dennis A Rogers

Dennis A Rogers, 101, of Largo , Florida passed away March 16, 2023. He was born on February 2, 1922 in Swansea , Massachusetts.

Dennis served our country in the US Army and was a Merchant Marine. He married the love of his life, Beatrice in 1948. In Newport, Rhode Island, Dennis opened his own restaurant, the Roman Gardens. He owned and operated this restaurant for over 22 years until his retirement. In 1975, he moved his wife and children down to Florida. In Dennis' spare time, he enjoyed playing tennis, swimming, and spent countless hours creating nautical ropework which brought him much joy.

Dennis is survived by daughter Lisa (Martin) Leiser, daughter-in-law Linda Rogers, grandchildren Anthony (Erin) Rogers, Jason Leiser, Jessica (Oscar) Medellin, and great grandchildren Gavin Troupe and Milo Medellin.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of almost 50 years Beatrice Rogers and son Dennis Rogers Jr.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday April 12th, 2023 at 11:30am at St. Jerome Catholic Church 10895 Hamlin Blvd, Largo, FL 33774 in the chapel. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Hospice Empath can be made in Dennis' memory.
