Obituary of Donella Mae Sherwin

Sherwin, Donella (Donna) Mae. Donna M Sherwin, 92, passed away at Suncoast Hospice House on February 3, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Ronald William Sherwin, her parents, Charles H Lamkin of Kalamazoo, MI, and Florence L. Whiting Platt, of Galesburg, Mich. She leaves behind five children: Michael, W. Brian, Mark, David, and Lisa Sherwin Crum; two daughters-in-law, Kathleen, and Michele; nine grandchildren, Andrew, April, Amanda, Jason, Kyle, Taylor, Brittany, Spencer, and Siera; and two great-grandchildren, Brooklyn and Austin. Donna was born on March 4th,1930 in Kalamazoo, Mich. She spent her early years in Grand Rapids and Galesburg, Mich, then raising their family in Birmingham Mich. Ron and Donna moved to St. Pete Beach, FL in 1974 and eventually settled in Madeira Beach. Donna enjoyed a very successful career as a legal secretary for many years, then as a Judicial Assistant for the late Honorable Judges Athanason and Radford Smith of the 6th Judicial Circuit, where she was awarded many honors. She enjoyed crafting, traveling, genealogy, and was an avid book reader. Donations can be made in her honor to Suncoast Hospice or any charity of your choosing.
