Obituary of Michael Craig Shammos

Shammos, Michael Craig, age 28 of Seminole, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2015. He was born in Lynn, (Essex County), MA, on January 9, 1987. Michael graduated from Osceola High School where he developed a love for all sports, but especially football and wrestling. He was the Pinellas County District Wrestling Champ in 2001, 2002, and 2003 as well as finishing in second place in the State tournament in 2003. He joined the US Army after graduation where he served in Iraq. He was actively serving in the Army at the time of his death. He also worked security at Hogan's Beach Bar and was working towards a college degree online. Michael is survived by his father, Samuel J. Shammos III; a sister, Jessica Shammos; a brother, Justin Shammos; two uncles and several cousins. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday June 17, 2015 from 10:00am until time of service at 11:00am. Interment is scheduled for12:45pm at Bay Pines National Cemetery with full military honors.
