Obituary of Guido Joseph Sinopoli

Guido Joseph Sinopoli, 90, of Largo Florida, went home to be with the Lord on February 3, 2017. Born in Italy on October 15, 1926, he came to the US at a very early age. His family settled in Northern NJ. "Joe," as he was known, joined the Merchant Marines during WWII and served active duty through the Korean War. After returning from the war, he opened a gas station and auto body shop in Bayonne, NJ. Soon after, he began his second career as an investigator for the insurance industry and continued to work for the next 40 + years. He was active in the Elks Club, Lions Club and served as the Worshipful Master of the Masonic Lodge in Bayonne, NJ. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He is survived by his former wife and best friend, Marie Sinopoli; a daughter, Patricia Luthi; a son Michael Sinopoli and daughter-in-law, Maureen; three grandchildren, Marc Luthi, Michael Sinopoli and Victoria Sinopoli. He is also survived by two brothers, Anthony Sinopoli of Clearwater and Steven Sinopoli of Clifton, NJ and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life is planned on February 25, 2017 at the East Bay Country Club, 702 Country Club Dr., Largo, FL from 2pm - 4 pm.
