Obituary of Lila A. Miracle

Miracle, Lila A., 93, passed away on Friday, November 17 in Seminole, FL. Lila was born June 15, 1924 in Millville, MA to Frank Davis and Selina Jodoin Davis. She first visited St. Petersburg at age 11, spending the winter and spring with her father and grandmother here and attending Disston Junior High. Lila graduated from Blackstone High School and attended Pembroke College (Brown University) for one year. She worked for her father's grocery store in Millville and also Stillwater Worsted Mill in Nasonville, RI where she met her husband, John Miracle. Her favorite job was working in the office at the Woonsocket Hospital in Woonsocket, RI. In 1965, Lila, John, and daughter Barbara "Bobbie" moved to the Bay Pines area of St. Petersburg. Lila loved all creative pursuits, including painting, sewing, knitting, and a bit of sculpture, along with gardening and genealogy. She enjoyed helping people and was kind and generous all her life. Above all she loved her daughter "Bobbie" with all her heart and they were best friends as well as mother and daughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, John and her four brothers, Milton, Harold, Donald, and John. Lila is survived by her daughter Barbara Miracle of Seminole and a niece, Deborah Samara of Gulfport.
