Obituary of Bert N. Bueg

Bueg, Bert, 80, of Seminole, died Thursday, March 5, 2009 at Hospice House Woodside in Pinellas Park. Born December 30, 1928 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Son of Richard and Amelia Bueg, Bert began his working years as a mechanical engineer with Electric Autolite and other related industries until he joined the United States Air Force and was stationed briefly in Hobbs New Mexico. He returned to Cincinnati, began a new career as a real estate agent and became a member of the McMillan Masonic Lodge, number 141. In 1960, he met and married Joyce Keener and they moved to Florida where he served the community for 35 years as an insurance and real estate agent and direct marketing representative for various firms until 1995, when he began another new career as an independent cruise director / travel agent. In addition to his love of family, friends and travel, Bert and Joyce were avid square dancers and members of several local dance clubs including the Rainbow Ramblers and most recently, Snell's Bows & Bells. Survived by loving wife, Joyce; sons, Kenneth Bueg, Wayne M. Keener Jr., Gregory M. Keener and Jeffrey B. Bueg; grandchildren, Wayne Keener III, Adrian Keener, Greg Keener Jr. and Jeffrey E. Bueg; great granddaughters, Jordan and Audra Keener; sister, Marvelle Owen Tennessee, several cousins in Ohio and a multitude of friends around the world. Bert was a member of Indian Rocks Baptist Church as well as Bayside Community Church in Tampa. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to Hospice of the Florida Suncoast.
