Obituary of Alyce E. Simmons

Alyce E. Simmons, 93, of Largo Florida passed away October 20, 2019. Alyce was born on December 21, 1925 in Fresno, California. She was preceded in death by her loving husband R.J. Simmons. Alyce is survived by her Granddaughter D.D. (Lisa), great- grandchild Bobbi Memhard, and Daughter Patricia Hope.

Alyce came to Florida in the early 1940's. She was independent, caring, and a loving person. Alyce and her husband would travel all over the states with their granddaughter going to southern gospel sings and concerts. Alyce loved her family and animals.

She took it upon herself to go and feed and clothe the migrant workers. She would take all kinds of of deserts up to the Lealman Fire Department. She would stop by Park Animal and give them fruits, vegetables, eggs and fresh meat from their miny farm . Dr. McGawery and staff loved seeing her. She also took all of her pets there she had been with Dr. McGawerys since the mid 1970's. Grandma was always ready to help other people. She was full of love she enjoyed her granddaughters (D.D. & Lisa Memhard)and great granddaughter Bobbi Memhard). They always brought a smile to her face everytime they were around each other. Alyce had a beautiful smile a heartwarming spirit. She will  truly be missed by those who knew her. But this is not good bye it's just until I see you again. God Bless you grandma.
