Obituary of Alyce I. Kinsella

Alyce I. Kinsella (Kerce), 94, of St Petersburg passed away August 22nd, 2020.  She was born on December 20, 1925 in Cleveland, Ohio to Earl and Flora (Long) Schindler.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Earl Schindler, and beloved husband of 60 years, Eugene.  Gene and Alyce met and married in Cleveland, OH moving their family to St Petersburg in 1960.

Alyce was a faithful member of Garden Crest Presbyterian Church where she sang in the church choir.  She was also a devoted 60-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, first joining in Cleveland and then transferred her membership to Bethlehem Chapter #169 in St Petersburg where she was past Worthy Matron and Secretary for approximately 30 years.  During her service in OES, she volunteered for many years at the Masonic Home of Florida which she ended up calling home for the past ten years.  Not only did she have many friends at the Home but was blessed to call the loving staff there her friends as well.

She is survived by her loving sister, Joan Velotta of Denver, CO who she had a very close relationship with over the years; children Richard (Martha) Dallas TX, Thomas (Adrienne) Port Richey, FL, Kathleen, Seminole, FL and Kevin (Karen) Elko NV.    7 granddaughters, 1 grandson and 8 great grandchildren.

A graveside service at Bay Pines National Cemetery will be postponed until loved ones can safely travel.
