Eleanore Jensen

Obituary of Eleanore E. Jensen

Eleanore Scull Jensen of Largo, FL passed away on January 11, 2021. She had recently celebrated her 94th birthday.

Born in Bridgeton, NJ to Howard and Martha Scull she had been a resident of the Seminole area for over 50 years. During that time she met her 2nd husband and true love, Herman Jensen and they were wed in 1976. Although he preceded her in death they were an inspirational couple and in her own words they “really did have the perfect marriage.” Together they created a wonderful blended family consisting of four daughters, a son, six grandchildren, three great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.

She and Herman were world travelers and had seen all 50 states. They kept detailed photo albums of their fabulous adventures. They shared a love of Nascar, were enthusiastic community volunteers and having both been ordained... were the ultimate examples of their Christian faith. They had many friends and were loved by all who knew them.

Eleanore was a high school prom queen with an enchanting smile, a career Executive Secretary, an advocate for the elderly and a Master Seamstress frequently altering clothes for family, reupholstering furniture and making beautiful custom draperies. She was a loving mother, loved being a grandmother and reveled in sharing in her grandson’s adventures as a grandparent himself.

Eleanore is survived by her sister Hannah and brother Howard, daughters Barbara and Cynthia, stepchildren Linda, Cindy and Chris, grandchildren Jeffrey, Michelle, Sherrie, Chris, JJ and Valerie; great grandchildren Justin, Andrew and Richard, and six great-great grandchildren with whom she was particularly delighted to spend time with. A Celebration of Life for those that knew her is being planned for a later date at Crossroads Christian Church in Largo.
