Obituary of Randy Roy Becker

Randy Roy Becker, 64, died Saturday (July 3rd, 2021) at his Seminole home with his wife by his side. He was a native Floridian, born and raised in St Petersburg by Gene and Mary Becker. He was preceded in death by both parents and his 2 brothers, George & Barry Becker along with his son, Jack “JP” Palmer. He leaves behind his wife of 27 years, Kathy Becker; his daughters, Nicole Becker & Danielle Palmer; his sister, Suzanne Becker-Guzman; grandchildren, Dakota, Jackson, Carra, Kailex and Teagan; as well as four nieces.

As a boy, Randy joined the Boy Scouts and eventually became an Eagle Scout, a time of his life that he truly enjoyed. His experiences in the Scouts, as well as with his adventurous family, taught Randy to appreciate the beauty of nature as well as essential survival skills. After high school he joined the US Army as an infantryman. His good fortune had him stationed in Hawaii and Colorado where he was able to experience the things he loved. Randy was always a proud veteran and was a member of the American Legion Post 273, Madiera Beach.

When Randy returned to Florida after his service ended, he went to technical school for HVAC and became an air conditioning mechanic. He had a lifelong career in the A/C field, making many friends and building a solid reputation as a perfectionist who was proud of his work.

When he wasn’t working, Randy’s greatest passion was fishing and being on the water. He loved wind surfing, deep sea fishing or just sitting on a dock with a fishing pole in hand. Randy enjoyed being with his family, either on a boat, camping, hunting, or going to the mountains to enjoy cabin life. He loved taking his wife for rides on his motorcycle along the beach or up the back roads of Northern Florida. His family will forever miss his warm hugs, infectious laugh and the unique adventures that you can only experience with such an outgoing and capable patriarch.

There will be a memorial service on July 24th, 2021, at Reese Funeral Home, 6767 Seminole Blvd., Seminole, Fl starting at 1pm followed by a celebration of life at the American Legion, Post 273, Madeira Beach, at 3pm with food and drinks to share good memories at a place where Randy made so many
