Katherine June Motriuk

May 21, 1931- February 25, 2024

Your wings were ready, but our hearts were not.

In loving memory of Katherine June (Kathy) Motriuk.

Born on May 21, 1931, in Louden, Tennessee and received her angel wings

unexpectedly but peacefully on February 25, 2024, at the age of 92.

The simple pleasures in life brought great happiness to Mom. So many wonderful

highlights of the life of this beautiful woman we were blessed to call our Momma.

All our precious memories allow us to hold her forever close to us.

Mom spent many years of her life sewing clothes in factories in Knoxville,

Tennessee and Largo, Florida. She also enjoyed meeting people while working in

many restaurants. The profession she loved the most and excelled at was being

the matriarch of our family.

She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, great aunt, wife, mother, grandmother,

great grandmother and friend.

Mom lived her life with compassion, caring and love for everyone she knew. Her

light shined bright for everyone blessed to cross her path in life. Her beautiful

smile and laughter lit our world.

Mom was a gifted seamstress. As a young Mom and wife of a Baptist Preacher she

would design and make beautiful matching dresses for herself and all of her girls.

Making her own patterns out of discarded newspapers. She enjoyed making crafts

and had an entire room dedicated to her workspace and supplies. She also

enjoyed golfing, bingo, dances and socializing with her wonderful friends at Top of

The World.

She lived most of her life in Pinellas County, Florida. However, before settling at

Top of The World in Clearwater she and her husband Otto, spent spring and

summers in Upper Michigan with many visits to Mackinac Island. Mom loved

traveling to the Smoky Mountains, Hawaii and our award-winning beaches in

Pinellas County. One of her greatest joys was a yearly trip with family to St. Pete

Beach for a week of fun, relaxation and precious time with those she loved most

in life. Mom enjoyed the spectacular sunsets that God created for all to see.

Mom was predeceased and is now reunited with her husband, Otto Motriuk, her

parents, Hazel and Henry Marcum, her sister, Nadine Sherritze, her brother,

Gerald Marcum and her precious daughter, Karen Pudela.

She is survived by her daughters, Sherry Ekberg (David), Diana Parker (Howard),

Pamela Merritt (Lee), son Larry Bayles (Shelly), son in law, Paul Pudela and bonus

son, Jimmy Bayles.

She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Lisa Johnson, Phillip Ekberg, Timothy

Ekberg, Chad Parker, Kristina Melnick, Amy Giordano and Jason Beatty.

13 great grandchildren, Andrew, Tyler & Connor Johnson, Kaydon, Kayla & Kollin

Parker, Logan & Colten Melnick, Jayden Beatty, Ezekiel, Emersyn & Eden Ekberg

and Avery Katherine Giordano.

Mom you are loved more than there are stars in the night sky. Your bright light

will shine for all of us who loved you forever. We will miss the tenderness of your

loving arms, but you will continue to be our guidance in our life's journeys

without you. We celebrate your life and words cannot express the loss we feel of

your leaving us.

Fly high and free of pain our beautiful angel until we meet again.
