Obituary of Helen L. Turner

Helen L. Thomas Turner Loving, wonderful, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend; whose presence will be greatly missed by all because she brought happiness, laughter, great cooking, crazy stories, funny adventures and loving memories to all. Our hearts are broken, and there will be emptiness in our lives but we that believe in Jesus have the assurance of seeing our precious loved one again. Helen, 81, died Thursday June 10, 2010, in Largo, Fl. Helen was born in Mississippi on January 10, 1929. Funeral service: June 19, 2010, 2 PM at Pleasant Grove Methodist Church, Ralph, Al. Helen was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth D. Turner, Sr. of Macon Mississippi. She lived in Huntsville, Al for 42 years, and Helen called Huntsville home. Helen is survived by her husband Billy McCormack originally from northwestern Alabama and he and Helen have lived in sunny Seminole, Florida for 10 happy years. Helen and Billy found, love and happiness in their later years, and they were blessed. Helen is survived by her son Kenneth D. Turner, Jr., his wife Diana, their children Kathryn Turner Stringer, her husband Justin Stringer, and their son Eric Wylie Turner. Daughter Gail Gooch, her husband Stephen Gooch and their daughters Kristen Diane Gooch, and Kaitlyn Clare Gooch. Daughter Barbara Strickland, her sons, Chad Strickland, his wife Janelle and their boys Andrew and Eli, son Michael Strickland his children Makayla and Will, and son Ryan Strickland, his wife Amy and their 3 girls Tristen, Rylei, and Romei. Helen is preceded in death by four brothers and one sister. Her surviving sisters are Anne Love McKinley of Louisville, MS .and her children; and Ethel Mae Beasley of Warren MI and her children.
