Obituary of Donald K. Walker

Donald Keith Walker II, 28, died Sunday, March 6, 2011. Don was born and raised in Largo, Florida. He attended Fuguitt Elementary, Madeira Beach Middle and Osceola High School. He is survived by his mother, Claudia, his father, Donald Sr. (wife Carol), brother Justin, sister Gina, grandmother Letizia, grandfather Norman (wife Sonya), several aunts, uncles and cousins. He is predeceased by his grandfather Raffaele and grandmother Olevia. Don had a love of cars and enjoyed his occupation as a general automotive service technician which he learned from his dad. Growing up, Donny had many hobbies. He was amazingly talented at drawing and calligraphy. He played soccer with SYAA most of his childhood and loved sports. He was a life-long Tampa Bay Bucs fan. He raced go karts in the Tri-City Kart Club as Dad & Son Racing. He also enjoyed BMX racing and loved to work on race cars and hot rods. Don loved to sing and at one time sang with the Pinellas County Boys Choir. He was an excellent student and even received an award for "Most Outstanding Student" from the Kiwanis Club. He truly loved his family. He was very close to his mother and sister, and always had his father and brother's back. He was a very loving and caring person with a big heart. He was very proud of his Italian heritage. Don enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved riding around in classic old cars and listening to music, singing and dancing. We all enjoyed his wonderful sense of humor and watching him be silly. He loved to make us laugh with his antics. He loved to cook and was creative in his recipe inventions and loved to share them with everyone. Those of us who knew Don know that he took pride in his appearance and loved to "spiff up". He took pride in keeping his white sneakers white and his outfits matching perfectly, right down to his hats and accessories. His grandparents were tailors and Don's mom often told him he missed his calling as a tailor or working in the fashion industry. Donny will truly be missed. We will miss his love, his smile, his hugs, his laugh and his sense of humor. Taken too soon. A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 14, 2011, at 11:00am. Reese Funeral Home in Seminole.
