Obituary of Benjamin H. Elliott

Benjamin Harrison Elliott III, a former Virginia native currently residing in St. Petersburg Florida, passed away Saturday April 2, 2011 in St. Petersburg at the Veterans Administration Hospice at Bay Pines. A native of Franktown, Virginia he was the son of the late Benjamin Harrison Elliott Jr., and the late Virginia Christine Butler Elliott. A 1960 graduate of Northampton High School, and graduate of Chowan College, he was also a member of Franktown United Methodist Church. He was an Eagle Scout, and former pilot. He was also an avid NASCAR fan. He worked for several years as a motor vehicle salesman for multiple dealerships on the Delmarva Peninsula. He is survived by his longtime companion Dolores Kelly, two sons, Benjamin Harrison Elliott IV of Fairfax, VA, and David Chandler Elliott of Painter, VA, a brother James Elliott and wife Amy of Cheriton VA, and sister Melinda Elliott of Nassawadox, Va, five grandchildren Grayce Elliott, Cayce Elliott, Emma Elliott, Mary Elliott, and Kimberly Elliott. He was predeceased by his brother John Carter Elliott, and Steven Trader Elliott Sr. Memorial services will be held at the Reese Funeral Home in Seminole, FL. He will be interred at Bay Pines National Cemetery.
