Obituary of Lillian M. Truitt

Lillian Castine Truitt, 92, of Seminole, passed away peacefully at home on May 31, 2011 surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 45 years, James P. Truitt, who passed away on June 12, 1991. She was also preceded in death by her mother, Beatrice Castine and her father, John Castine of Woburn, Mass., and her sister, Alice Ames. She is survived by her 8 children, Jim Truitt and his wife Charmaine and their children, Jimmy & Todd; Judy; Sharon; Mary A. Meyers and her husband Joseph A. Meyers, II of Seminole, Florida and their children, Joseph A. Meyers, III, Michael P. Meyers, Alicia K. Johnson, Christy L. Haggard & Kimberly A. Meyers; Kathy White and her husband Michael White of Virginia Beach, VA and their children, Carolyn Clark and her husband Curtis Clark, Elizabeth Armstrong and her husband Greg Armstrong, Joshua White & Vanessa White; Carol Sappington and her husband Mark Sappington of Kapolei, Hawaii and their children, Keely Sappington & Jennan Sappington; Deborah Crook and her husband Gary Crook of Seminole, Florida and their children, Jonathan, Lauren & Alex; and Sue Paddock and her husband Jeff Paddock of St. Petersburg, Florida and their children, Sean Paddock and Allison Paddock; and 1 sister, Dolly Martell. She has 23 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She was born and raised in Woburn, Mass. and moved to Florida with her husband and children in 1963. She was a Registered Nurse who served in WW II. She devoted her life to caring for her loving husband and 8 children. She will be sorely missed by her family. Funeral services will be held at St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church located at 1955 South Belcher Road in Clearwater, FL at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, June 2, 2011.
