Obituary of Thomas A. Paquette

Paquette, Thomas A. 68, of Largo, died Sunday, May 6, 2012, at Bay Pines VAMC. He was born in North Adams, MA the son of the late Valmore and Glorina Paquette. He served in the US Army 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam from 1967-69. For his service he was awarded a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart for valor and injuries suffered. He dedicated 22 years as an Administrator to the VA Bay Pines Healthcare System. He was POW coordinator and co-chair Female Veteran's Program. He is survived by his dear friend Maureen Boyle; stepdaughters Lura (Dan) Lentz and Cienne Dix. Tom also leaves three sisters Anne (David) Clark, Jacqueline (Paul) Demastrie, and Mary Lou Paquette; four brothers Victor, Mark (Charmaine), Edward (Susan), and Charles (Janice) Paquette; and a large extended family. His hobbies included photography, traveling and country music. The family will receive friends on May 16th from 5-7pm . A Funeral Mass at St. Justin, Martyr Catholic Church will be May 17th at 11:00am. Interment at VA Bay Pines Nat'l Cem. will be May 18th at 9:15am.
