Obituary of Jane Elizabeth Darr

DARR, Jane Elizabeth, "Betty" passed away peacefully early Thursday morning November 2, 2017, at the age of 85. Her loving daughters were grateful to be bedside during her passing. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her. Betty was born at home in Garden City, Long Island, NY to Mary Elizabeth and Harold Stuart Rolfe November 16, 1931. She was the youngest of four children. On December 6, 1953 Betty married her high school sweetheart, Grayson Darr. Together they had one son and four daughters. Betty stayed active after retiring from her position of Secretary/Bookkeeper at Seminole Elementary School, by spending time traveling and doting on her grandchildren whom she adored. Betty is preceded in death by her husband, who passed in 1995 and her daughter, Janet in 2009 She is survived by her four children; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at Reese Funeral Home in Seminole between 1 and 3 pm Tuesday, November 7. Funeral Mass is located at Blessed Sacrament in Seminole Wednesday at 10 am.
