Obituary of Emily Ann Kisyk

EMILY ANN KISYK, 83, of Madeira Beach, formerly of Seymour, CT, passed away Oct. 8, 2009 after a long illness. She was born May 10, 1926 in West Haven, CT, and was predeceased by parents Carl and Gertrude Beyerle, brothers William and Robert Beyerle, & sister Dorothy Hunt. She was an accomplished baseball player and contralto vocalist and sang in the church choir. She appeared on television several times as a vocal contestant and was a winner on "Dance Time" in 1957. She had many interesting positions over the years including tenures at Bell Telephone, Sears Roebuck and Tupperware, Inc. of Orlando where she set sales records. Recently she was Vice-President of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary. At the time of her illness she was social director for her building, Concord at Sea Towers Condominiums. In 1946 she married Leonard DeNardis and had 2 children who survive her; Paul R. DeNardis of Seminole, and Karen Russell Pollard of Seymour, CT. In 1961 she married John Kisyk and had one son who survives her, David Kisyk of St Pete Beach. She is also survived by granddaughter Cynthia Cassese and great- grandson Matthew Cassese and granddaughter Dana Eggert and great-granddaughter Elise Eggert, all of CT; also many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Reese Funeral Home 6767 Seminole Blvd. Seminole, FL on Friday Oct. 16, 2009 at 5 pm. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to American Legion Women's Auxiliary Unit 273 Scholarship Fund.
