Obituary of Carl Lockwood Demoray

Demoray, Carl L. 91, of Largo, went to be with the Lord on April 14, 2010, at Bay Pines VA Hospital. A WWII veteran, he was an officer with the 301st Bombardment Group , 419th Bomb Squadron in the Mediterranean Theater, flying 51 combat missions as a bombardier.. He earned the Distinguished Flying Cross. He was a lifetime member of AA, where he was involved in a 12 step program for alcoholism for 62 years. He kept it simple and carried the message well, touching the lives of countless people. He was an avid golfer, belonging to Bardmoor Country Club for over 25 years. He loved to fish, play cards, and travel. He was a great storyteller and a natural salesman during a long and successful career in sales. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years Yvonne "Babe". He is survived by his children Karen L. (Doug) Mills, Caledonia, MI , Yvonne "Cookie" (Jim) Boss, Madeira Beach, FL, Carl L. (Harriet) Demoray, Jr., St. Petersburg, FL, and Gregory T. Demoray, Largo, FL; siblings Bill Demoray, Grand Rapids, MI, Jane (Fraser) Scholes, Sarasota, FL, and Dorothy (Russ) Hicks, Prescott, AZ; 9 Grandchildren; and 18 Great Grandchildren.
