Obituary of Elaine M. King

Elaine King, who died on April 20th, is survived by her husband of 64 years, Robert L. King. Elaine was one of four children born to Arthur and Gladys and her extended family is wonderfully loving and supportive. Elaine was the mother of seven children and has sixteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She lived her life in Illinois, Arkansas and Florida. From her youth her favorite method of ministry was singing which she continued until she felt time had taken this gift from her. She loved to tell stories and used them with her family and in ministry to children over the years. As she grew older, she identified with the needs of shut-ins and those in assisted living facilities. She phoned the shut-ins at their homes and joined a local ministry team called the "JV Angels." The JV Angels visited churches and residential facilities to share their love of Christ and lift spirits. Elaine's light-hearted spirit will be missed by many, but the impact of her ministry will carry on in her family and those she met.
