I can remember around this time of year, Christmas time, my grandma and grandpa would begin baking their Holiday treats! Oh they were so good! They would make an assortment of cookies, chocolate barks, chocolate covered pretzels, and this delicious saltine cracker bark/cookie that was so delicious!!! They would spend all day making these goodies. I can remember feeling so proud to hand these morsels off to my teachers as end of the semester treats when I was in grade school. My teachers enjoyed them so much. In fact, anyone who received them as a gift enjoyed them greatly! I think they were honestly so delicious due impart to the amount of love that went into them. My grandparents felt so much happiness while making these sweets. I think they knew that these sweets would brighten someone's day or make it a little bit better, if just for a moment. If I could just have one last taste of my grandma's saltine cracker bark, I would give anything. I know I could just search her old recipe book and make it myself, but I know it wouldn't be the same. Just to have a sweet made by those hands again would truly be a Christmas miracle.
